Apple Store App Launches in India, Enhancing Customer Experience

In a significant move to bolster its presence in the Indian market, Apple has introduced the Apple Store app, available for download as of January 16, 2025. This new app is designed to provide Indian customers with a streamlined and personalized shopping experience, allowing them to explore, purchase, and customize Apple products and services with ease.

Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online, emphasized the company’s commitment to its customers, stating, “At Apple, our customer is at the center of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections.” Rasmussen added, “With the Apple Store app, customers will discover a new and seamless way to shop for all our incredible products, receive personalized support, and really experience the best of Apple.”

The app features multiple tabs that facilitate a seamless shopping experience. The “For You” tab offers timely and relevant information, personalized recommendations, and access to saved or favorited items. The “Go Further” tab connects customers with Apple Specialists for online personal setup sessions and additional support. Users can also explore the latest Apple products, accessories, and services, and learn about key retail programs such as Apple Trade-In and financing options.

Customers will have the option to customize their Macs with powerful chips, extra memory, or additional storage. Moreover, they can engrave products like AirPods, iPads, Apple Pencils, and Air Tags with names, initials, emojis, or numbers in eight languages, all at no extra cost. The app will soon introduce digital gift messages, further enhancing the personal touch.

Apple’s expansion in India includes the inauguration of its first two retail stores in Delhi and Mumbai in April 2023, with plans to open additional stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. The company has also been increasing its manufacturing presence in India, assembling both vanilla and Pro variants of its iPhones, which has contributed to a significant drop in prices and a surge in domestic production.
